William Perry Holden

William “Bill” Perry Holden, 77, of Imperial Beach, CA, passed away peacefully on Dec. 23, 2024.
Born July 25, 1947, in Glendale, CA, Bill grew up on Balboa Island of Newport Beach and attended Corona del Mar High School. He loved baseball and was a talented player. He served honorably in the Navy from 1966-70 as an Aerographer’s Mate Airman. After his service, he worked aboard luxury yachts in Southern California. He then spent many years running a marina in Costa Rica. Later, he worked in construction in the Palm Desert area before retiring to Coronado.
Bill was a generous and loyal friend to many. A skilled mariner, he spent much of his time on the water or at the beach. He loved traveling and visiting with friends sharing his love of music, baseball, good food, and the sea.
Preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Perry and Germaine (Lyons) Holden, mother, Priscilla Shaw, and sister, Marilyn Bowsfield, Bill leaves behind beloved cousins and countless friends around the world.
His ashes will be scattered at sea near San Diego per his request.
